Save the Saptari is a non-profit, non-political, and humanitarian organization operating in the Saptari district of Nepal. Since its establishment in 1999, the organization has been committed to improving the lives of marginalized communities through various initiatives. Save the Saptari focuses on enhancing education, health, sanitation, livelihood, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation, irrigation, and awareness activities. Working in close coordination with local agencies, government institutions, and non-governmental stakeholders, Save the Saptari addresses the specific needs and priorities of the communities it serves. The organization particularly emphasizes the empowerment of children, youth, women, and elderly members of marginalized communities, advocating for their rights to health, education, economic security, and protection. Save the Saptari employs a community mobilization approach, actively engaging community members in its projects. By fostering partnerships and collaborations, the organization strives to bring about immediate and sustainable positive change. Through its dedicated efforts, Save the Saptari aims to create a better future and improve the quality of life for those in need in the Saptari district of Nepal.


Sts have been implementing project with strong and inclusive team and team member has been guided by the organizational code of conduct and policies. E.g. Human Resource policy, safeguarding policy, GESI policy and Financial Policy to bring the quality result. The team is continuously working at the community level to bring positive changes to the community through community Mobilization.

SAVE THE SAPTARI WORKING AREA

STS has been implementing multiple projects in the Saptari and Mahottari districts of Madhesh Province, covering 20 local governments. The organization works in close coordination with local institutions and authorities, in partnership with various NGO/INGOs:

VISION

Save the Saptari envisions a self-reliant and harmonious society, where the rights of the poor, vulnerable, socially excluded, and disadvantaged are fulfilled, and they live with dignity and empowerment.

MISSION

Save the Saptari's mission is to mobilize and empower communities at the grassroots level for socio-economic development, human resource development, and progress in education, climate change adaptation, agriculture, health, human rights, forestry, and business/corporate sector

GOAL

Save the Saptari aims to increase access to basic services and resources, foster cooperation and coordination among communities, and promote sustainable economic development for marginalized groups, with a focus on climate change adaptation, quality education, and healthcare as prime priorities.

OBJECTIVE

  •  Enhance access to quality education and promote inclusive learning environments for children and youth in marginalized communities.

 · Improve healthcare services and ensure equitable access to healthcare for vulnerable populations, with a specific focus on women, children, and marginalized groups.

 · Strengthen community resilience to climate change by implementing climate adaptation strategies, promoting sustainable agriculture practices, and raising awareness about environmental conservation.

 · Empower marginalized groups, including women and socially excluded individuals, through skills training, income-generating activities, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

· Advocate for the protection of human rights, social justice, and the inclusion of marginalized communities in decision-making processes at local and regional levels.

 · Enhance community mobilization and participation, fostering collaboration and cooperation among local stakeholders, community-based organizations, and government agencies.

 · Promote sustainable livelihoods and economic development through capacity building, market linkages, and support for small-scale enterprises in marginalized communities.
